Our Team

Steaven Jones, Chairman

Steaven founded SJDC in 1965 and has developed over 100 properties throughout the Western United States, concentrating in Southern California. Steaven has a BS in Business from the University of Mississippi and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Lawry Meister, President

Lawry joined SJDC in 1990 after several years with Trammell Crow Company. Lawry also worked in management consulting with McKinsey & Company and in investment banking with Blythe Eastman Paine Webber. She has a BA from Wellesley College and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Farah Saidian, Controller

Farah has over 10 years of accounting experience, working with companies in the home improvement, business services, import-export and property management industries. She handles all financial matters related to SJDC and its affiliated entities.

Johnetta Thompson, Property Manager

Johnetta, a California native, was initially hired as a part-time administrative assistant. Over the years her duties and skills have increased immensely. Recently she was promoted to our full-time Property Manager and is in charge of all the day-to-day management operations.

Terry Moore, Handyman

Terry, originally from Louisiana, came to SJDC with over 20 years of carpentry, general maintenance and handyman experience from Job Core, as a union apprentice, and from his own company - BMS Construction Company, Inc. He handles multiple tasks effectively and efficiently for all of our properties.
